Window Replacement

The original blue-colour for windows is very costly to replace. Therefore the Board have agreed to accept a light-grey colour for replacement windows instead of the blue. This Light Grey colour is known by the code RAL7001.

If replacing windows please ensure the following:

1, The design is exactly the same as the windows being replaced.

2, Ventilation must be built into the window frame to prevent condensation/mould affecting your apartment.

3, Windows open-in for cleaning purposes.

In Feb/March 2022, a number of window providers were asked to give estimates for window replacement and given the following specification for estimates. Light Grey RAL 7001. Tilt and turn gears, triple glazed, vent in windows, fitted including vat price. The following are the responses received. This is indicative only and apartment owners should do their own detailed checks regarding specifications and prices before deciding on a supplier for windows.

While the suppliers were given the same specification to give estimates, all suppliers will have different specifications and standards within their products, but the responses show some of the main providers can provide the correct RAL colour, 7001.
